Let’s play a new game here at The Movie Blog. It will be called WILD SPECULATION where we will make an observation based on an internet rumour or information of our own that we just wildly speculate on with no basis in reality.
Why? Well just in case we randomly guess right, we want […]
Remember that toy that was hot for Christmas called Robosapien? Of course you do. They made a new version every year. that spawned into other similar “robo” themed toys? No? Well trust me, it was big!
So big that they are basing a new movie around the toy. So while […]
I’ll admit it right up front. I saw the Sex and the City movie and I didn’t hate it. As a matter of fact I kinda liked it. I had never seen a single episode of the TV show, but they did the movie in such a way that I felt like […]
Given the subject matter, Valkyrie could have been an outstanding historical thriller, but settles for being a mildly entertaining, but disposable yarn.
Curious Case of Benjamin Button is an epic fantasy tale with rich storytelling backed by fantastic performances.
Though it may earns some chuckles from pre-teens, this kid-friendly Adam Sandler comedy is uneven, poorly paced, and lacks the requisite whimsy to truly work.
Pet owners should love it, but Marley and Me is only sporadically successful in wringing drama and laughs from its scenario.

I loved Pat Hingle as Commissioner Gordon in the Tim Burton renditions of Batman. To me he was a wonderful mixture of the original TV show’s Commissioner Gordon and Police Chief O’Hara all wrapped up into one package.
We’d also see him appearing all over the place as a pretty busy character actor. Sadly, […]
Paul Soter and Jay Chandrasekhar, collectively known as Broken Lizard recently hung out with MovieWeb to talk about one movie and ran off chatting about their intention to at least write Super Troopers 2!
The big picture is that we are on the Canadian Border. And in reality, what has happened is that the […]

There will also be a 3-d episode of Chuck coming up, so your 3-d glasses at the major retailers sporting the big pile of freebie glasses to watch the assorted 3-d commercials and […]

Stephen Chow has been busy doing more than fielding questions about Green Hornet.
I found this trailer for a movie out now on Bluray and DVD and it looked pretty cute, so I am going to share it with the International Friends:
I might have to get this.
Yahoo says we have a North American release date for Inglorious Basterds. August 21.
Until now, this site has been properly spelling Bastards, but it seems that Tarantino is deliberately spelling it wrong. Yahoo has some insight as to why:
The film was inspired by the 1978 World War II movie “Quel maledetto treno […]
Hugh Jackman makes the ladies purr and so who better to play the legendary Marc Anthony. However Jackman is saying his schedule is too tight to take on the role, so the rumoured casting never saw the dotted line.
IESB.net says:
No deal had been signed as the ambitious $30 million project is completing […]
There are a whole lot of new images from a whole lot of movies. Nothing outlandish or groundbreaking. Kinda more of the same we have seen but worth a stroll through the gallery.
